Ok well basically i am a level 8 Undead Mage in Horde and i am playing on the WarHammer EU server. I have been doing ok so far, i have found some equips and have been doing quests and gathered about 20silver so far (not a lot but meh, im lv 8 and i am new), i have also got the tailor skill too but i have got it at a very basic level and i would like to work on it.
I would just like to know how the game works properly. I have played many other mmorpg games before so i have the basic concept of what i need to do. I would like to know how the economy works (i wanna make enough money to be able to afford decent gear for level 20 and a mount with the thing i need to spend 4 gold on to be able to use it).
I would also like to know about what spells to use (arcane, frost or fire), i would like to choose one or even two as i have heard to be good for both PVP and PVE/Raides.
I know i am asking a lot but i would love it if someone could come and talk to me in the server, live so i can get a real grasp of the world of warcraft as i love the game so far and i want to excel.
Even if it is just a link to a guide that could be of some help to me would be great, I thank you all in advance for your help.
P.S. The other mmorpg that i played ‘properly’ and competitively was FLYFF where i played on the Mushpoie server but it is a very different game and i am willing to learn.

For your profession, tailoring, you kind of level it as you level yourself. You start off by turning linen into cloth into armor. Soon enough you’ll be on wool, which drops off of higher level mobs/in higher level dungeons. It’s pretty easy as long as you don’t fall too far behind (ie leveling in an area where mageweave drops while you need wool).
Economy varies from server to server, the auction houses are great for making gold once you know what you’re doing. Depending on the demand, quantity availiable, price, ammount of sellers, etc.. it’s a pretty complex system. At level 8 you shouldn’t worry about it. When you start to collect quantities of items like pearls or ore, the best thing to do if you want to sell them is get a stack of 20 and see what they’re going for price-wise and sell. That’s a pretty basic way to use the Auction House to your advantage.
It’s very easy to make gold while just doing quests and dungeons, be careful not to spend too much on other things like your tailoring thread.
I just started leveling a mage over the weekend, the best spec or "talent tree" to go for is frost for leveling. You can always respec if you don’t like it or want to switch at a higher level.
I’m on an American server, not an EN one unfortunately so I can’t come chat. But you CAN get help from various people in-game. Joining a guild is a really great idea! Plus you can always as a GM (GameMaster) for technical help. And Trade/General/City chat is a nice way to ask about the game with people who may be in the same boat as you.
Also, the WoW EN forums have a thread for honestly every question you could think of about the game. Don’t be shy to post!
Hope this helped with a few things, take care and happy gaming!
another life lost to the terrible world of WoW
OK first of all if you want a spec that is good for pve/pvp go frost, and then at level 64 go arcane for arcane blast, as far as making money get the mining skill lower level mining supplies sell for a large amount of cash because higher levels are too lazy to go mine it themselves. as far as how the game works properly, i would say the game works however u want it to it is all in oppinion, people play with different reasons/goals, some go for money, some go for gear, others for the glory of PVP, but i may warn you, once you get sucked into the game… there is no stopping.
Okay I’m just going to give you a small amount of advice which I hope you will take into account – World of Warcraft is really addictive and once you get sucked in you’ll like literally never want to stop playing. Just a little warning …
