What books do I need to plan Dungeons and Dragons campaigns?

I’m new at D&D and I know I need the Core Set, but what are some other books that I may need. Granted I know that there are about 30 books for 3.5 but I can’t afford them all so which ones do I need the most. Here’s a list:

Who here likes to play World of Warcraft? If you do, what class are you? Horde or Alliance?

I am for alliancs but play horde some time. Andromida (dranei) is my main level 80 hunter; Lanni (human) warlock is around 72; Aunika (night elf) hunter is a 71, and Parish (human) warrior is level 51 i think…my hordes are Indreams (bloodelf) hunter and Hellslight (hunter).
